Master Class by Cassandra Carr

MasterClassTour

Master Class by Cassandra Carr is a wonderful blend of sizzling hot BDSM as well as romance. If you have read Ms. Carr’s book Caught, you definitely won’t want to miss this one! You could read this book as a stand-alone and still enjoy it, but both books are outstanding and definitely worth the time to read them both.

Ryan Tomasi is still recovering from his divorce. His best friend introduced him to BDSM and now Ryan is looking for a sub to play with. Lisette Rinaldo has been out of the BDSM scene for a while after the end of a bad relationship with her former dom. When the two meet at the club, they are immediately drawn to each other. They seem to click right away, but it quickly turns into more than just play.

I very highly recommend this book! I was completely hooked from the very start and could not put it down. The writing is superb with well developed characters that I fell in love with. I had already read and loved Caught, so I was really excited to see the return of the characters from that story! As much as I loved Caught, I think I may have even loved Ryan & Lisette’s story even more. I am a huge fan of Cassandra Carr’s books and I always look forward to reading anything she writes. If you haven’t read any of her books yet, then you definitely need to check them out.

Book Summary:

Genre: BDSM Contemporary

Ryan Tomasi feels like a failure. His marriage is officially over; the ink dried on the divorce decree. His friend Jack introduces him to BDSM and he agrees to attend a Halloween party at a club. A submissive approaches him, offering herself, and how can he refuse the kneeling beauty? They do a whirlwind scene and Ryan is addicted–both to dominance and to her.

Lisette Rinaldo is returning to the BDSM club for the first time since ending a bad relationship with her former master. She spots Ryan and is taken by the combination of self-assurance and nervousness the man displays as he takes in his surroundings. And after he gives her an incredible re-introduction to the lifestyle, she knows she needs to see the man again.

Ryan and Lisette explore each other and the lifestyle, but what started out as playtime quickly evolves into something more. The problem? Ryan isn’t ready to get serious again and Lisette doesn’t want to fall in love with a guy who can’t give all of himself to her. Both of them are going to have to break out of the bonds holding them back from happiness to pass this Master Class.

About the author:

Cassandra Carr is a multi-published author with Ellora’s Cave, Siren Bookstrand, Sybarite Seductions and Loose Id. She thinks the best part of being a writer is how she writes about love and sex all day (and all night!) while most everyone else she knows is struggling with daily commutes, micro-managing bosses and cranky co-workers. Close Contact by Cassandra Carr, Cindy Carr, & Cristal Ryder

November 19, 2012

Close Contact is a fun and sexy collection of three short stories by Cassandra Carr, Cindy Carr, and Cristal Ryder, all having a sports theme. If you enjoy a good short story collection or just don’t have time for a long novel, this is a romantic and passionate collection you will love.

I don’t like giving away many plot details with any book, but especially when they are short stories. So, I won’t tell you much about the stories themselves except to say that each one involves a different sport from tennis, to golf, and fencing. You can read the book summary below if you want to know more about the stories. I like for plots to be a surprise when I read so I tend to stay away from book blurbs.

I very highly recommend this book! The writing is excellent and the stories are delightful. Each time I was hooked right away. I read the whole thing in one sitting. It’s a quick read that would be great for an evening or bedtime read. I loved the characters and felt connected to them, which sometimes can be difficult with short stories but I thought the authors did a great job at developing their characters. There’s plenty of heat but also romance as well. I have been a big fan of Cassanra Carr’s books for a while but the other two authors were new to me. I will definitely be looking for more of their books as well.

Book Summary:

Hard-hitting contact sports don’t have the only sexy professional athletes. Does the strength and grace of golf, tennis and fencing instructors extend to their lustier activities? Find out as they turn these classic sports into full-contact steamy sessions.

Service Ace by Cassandra Carr
Callum Giovanni’s professional tennis career is over. He’s trying not to be bitter about it, even though it means teaching women more interested in not messing up their hair and nails than a good service.

Then Adriana Macy appears, claiming to be a novice, but Callum knows there’s more to her than meets the eye. How far does she want to take their personal match? The ball’s in her court.

Playing Through by Cristal Ryder
A relationship is the last thing Lexie is looking for, especially one with a hot cowboy wanting golf lessons. It’s all she can do to keep her focus on the game and off Jay’s hard muscled body and devilishly sexy face. But the more lessons they have, the farther his sexy drawl gets under her skin.

Does he feel the attraction too? Mother Nature forces them to seek shelter as the power of a thunderstorm lets loose around them. Will they go primal and unleash their attraction for one another amidst the rawness of the Rocky Mountains?

Up to the Hilt by Cindy Carr
Olympic fencing wunderkind Sebastian Como is Rina Rogers’ last resort to find someone who can instruct her toward her own Olympic medals. All her other trainers have balked, saying she is too impulsive, too unmanageable, too everything.

Sebastian recognizes her talent and tells her he’ll take her all the way. But does that include his bed?

Curiosity Killed The Kat by Elizabeth Nelson is a fast-paced, exciting thrill-ride of a romantic suspense!

Katherine has been a devoted wife whose life revolved around her husband. She catered to his every need and every whim. Then one day her eyes suddenly opened. ” A 5 star debut for sure!!! This book had ALL the elements I love; a kick-ass detailed story, a wealthy sexy man and strong female lead and my favorite; lots of hot, sweaty body tangling going on!  Katherine and Steven’s relationship is electric. The plot intense. The dialogue superb. Not wanting to give too much away, this was a fantastic read.  The author kept me guessing until the end of the book. Once you start reading this book, it is very hard to put down. Ms. Nelson thank you for the entertainment!!!”- Sophia Schippers, Amazon.com Reviewer

“This book is fantastic, and it is a quality read. It really looks at the deception that can happen between a man and wife. This is an exciting book, and I think it empowers women. The wife, Kat, is someone many people will understand. I absolutely love the last line of the book: “To get the revenge I deserved all I had to do was live.” Kat is dignity, grace, and strength — personified.”- Florence Mims, Goodreads.com Reviewer

Book Summary:

A lifetime of want collides with fate the night of Tarik’s bachelor party, fulfilling his deepest secret desire—only it’s not with the strippers his Arab friends hired to cater to his every whim. Author Bio:

Mezzofiction author, Fierce is imagination shapeshifted as a scribe taunting blank pages and carpal tunnel, neither of which are much use for deadlines. Close allies are impeccable timing and a trusty masseuse. Being a switch I/ENFP doesn’t hurt. For kicks Fierce has other personas across several genres, tends to fill in “Other” on surveys without explaining, and chooses the finality of the Japanese Tamagotchi.

In summary: Fierce writes all kind of dirty things that you probably shouldn’t ever read…

Excerpt:

“I am so sorry–” Tarik began.

“It’s okay. It was an accident.” The words were rushed as he pulled the soaked sweatshirt from his skin and fanned the dripping tablet. Black smudges coated the fingertips and heel of his left hand.

“I’ve ruined your work,” Tarik lamented, motioning toward the pad.

“Oh, no. It’s just a sketch. I was fascinated with the moonlight on the harbor.” He flashed a charcoal rendering of the midnight water. A long, shimmering black strand fell forward of the band securing his hair, lighting just at the edge of his upturned mouth. “No masterpiece here.”

Piercing umber eyes met Tarik’s, and the gentle smile relaxed his shoulders. “You were in the ballroom earlier.”

“Mmm. The bachelor party.”

Tarik pursed his lips, nodding once. “I’m staying in the hotel. Allow me to get for you a clean shirt.”

“It’s fine. I don’t have far to go.”

“In this cold, with no jacket, you will freeze. Please. I insist—”

“What’s your name?” the younger man asked.

“I am Tarik.” He bowed.

“I’m Wo.” He nodded. “Thank you for your kind offer, Tarik.”

The Art of my Life by Ann Lee Miller + Giveaway!

October 29, 2012

*Be sure to read through to the end of the post for information on how to enter the giveaway.

The Art of my Life by Ann Lee Miller is a beautiful and captivating story about love, loss, faith and hope.

Cal has been released after spending three months in jail and finds out his grandmother has given him her sailboat. His parents have agreed to help him get a loan to start up his charter tour business. The repairs to the boat cost way more than anticipated and he has to start off his business with no capital and the business is not booming. All he wants is to get his life on track so he has something to offer Aly. They have been best friends almost their entire lives but he loves her and hopes for a future with her. When things get bad and it looks like he’s going to lose the business he begins to think it’s not worth staying clean and sober. If he’s high at least he won’t feel the pain when he loses everything he has dreamed of.

I very highly recommend this book! The writing is superb and the characters absolutely stole my heart! I was hooked from the very first page, I hated to put it down for even a moment, and when it was over I was sad to say good-bye to these people who had begun to feel like my own family and friends.

This is the first book I have read by Ms Miller but I am most definitely a huge fan after reading this book! It’s full of family drama, mystery, suspense, and romance. The author weaves in a wonderful message of faith that is uplifting and filled with hope. There are so many characters in this book that I fell in love with, but I could relate to Aly on so many levels. I felt her emotions and was rooting hard for a happy ending for her! I will definitely be looking for more books from this wonderful author!

Book Summary:

Cal walked out of jail and into a second chance at winning Aly with his grandma’s beater sailboat and a reclaimed dream of sailing charters.

Aly has the business smarts, strings to a startup loan, and heart he never should have broken. He’s got squat. Unless you count enough original art to stock a monster rummage sale and an affection for weed.

But he’d only ever loved Aly. That had to count for something. Aly needed a guy who owned yard tools, tires worth rotating, and a voter’s registration card. He’d be that guy or die trying.

For anyone who’s ever struggled to measure up. And failed.

The Fights of Summer by Abby Hayes

October 16, 2012

The Fights of Summer by Abby Hayes is a scorching hot erotic story about three guys trying to make a challenging relationship work.

James, Carl and Dane are roommates and they prefer the rest of the world believe that’s all they are. Carl and Dane are MMA fighters and they want to keep their private life private. James dutifully attends all of their fights, but watching the men he loves get beaten and bloody isn’t any fun for him. When Dane gets injured everything boils over between the three of them. Can Carl and Dane help James understand why they fight and why they can’t give it up?

I highly recommend this book! It’s very well written with great characters. At 92 pages it is a short story, but there is still plenty of story along with the erotica. We learn about Carl and Dane and their difficult childhoods and how they got straightened out through martial arts. We see James’ emotional ups and downs as he tries to deal with this relationship and his issues with the fighting. I really liked James and my heart went out to him.

This story, even though it’s short, has action, drama, suspense, heated passion, and even tender romance. This is the first story that I have read by Abby Hayes but I am definitely a fan now. I will be looking for more of her books after reading this one.

Book Summary:

James, Carl and Dane live together under the guise of being just roommates and nothing more. But, even as roommates, James doesn’t feel he belongs with them sometimes. Carl and Dane are MMA fighters, two boys pulled off the streets, while James, on the other hand, was raised with what Carl and Dane would refer to as middle class normal – their joke.

James supports the two fighters he loves by attending all of their fights. The brutality of the cage fights is just something he has adjusted to. He doesn’t mind it rough at all though when one of his lovers wins and comes home all hyped up for sex, which is more naked wrestling in their apartment.

Their tense situation changes dramatically when Dane is hurt in the cage. James just can’t understand why Dane is fighting so hard to get back into the cage where he almost died.

Will James’ confusion make him the permanent odd man out, or will he eventually learn enough in play to make him understand his lovers’ drive to fight?
